about drama

the community name ("drama") is about as self-explanatory as we can get. our community focuses on in character interaction of all kinds. we absolutely encourage you to make your characters as over the top as you'd like. whether they're assholes, slutty, sweet, shy, energetic or all of the above we welcome it. there's no need to be shy about having crazy characters here! drama may not be for you if you take in character events and situations personally ooc. if you tend to leave communities after your sl ends or clean out because of one in character fight? we're not for you. drama may be for you if you miss the days of characters being able to fight openly on the fp, break up and date other people from time to time and in general being able to write characters with difficult or problematic personalities.

setting up and applying

first off, your journals should be out of character. need help finding something? rename and purged have lots of options. secondly, you need to have one in character and one out of character post up and backdated. we do require examples but you can show us whatever you have. keep in mind rejections may happen from time to time. if you are rejected, your application will simply be deleted. we do not answer inquiries about rejections and reserve the right to reject anyone that we feel isn't a good fit for drama. the apartment building, storylines: since the apartment building is brand new, you should only be searching for roommates, family and neighbors at this time. you do not need to claim any apartment name but please list the floorplan somewhere in your ooc contact post when you apply.

updating, activities, etc.

being active means posting something once a month and being on the friend's page even more. this community thrives on this sort of interaction so you must comment intros and other various posts. we will have frequent activity checks. if we feel you're not participating or that you're hiding in customs and not engaging we reserve the right to remove you. hiatuses are welcome and we suggest asking for one if you can't reply to anything or be active for over a week. we will be rich in activities. besides your normal ffas, we will have gossip and secret time. we will make sure these are monitored and screened so that nothing bleeds through. but, be willing to have your character talked about. we promise, it's all in good fun.

wire, discord, etc.

we'd like to keep everything on the fp so we will not be incorporating wire or discord into drama. please keep things on insanejournal. the occasional movie night or what have you is allowed, but only occasionally.

don't be an asshole

and lastly, don't be an asshole. not out of character, anyway. yeah, your character can be a problematic piece of work but you shouldn't be. be nice to people ooc, don't be blurry and don't take things personally. if you feel personally offended or attacked by something going on ic, the issue may be you. have fun with it, react in character and help us have fun!
